Who's got funny near crash or toasted past a cop at 120 in a school zone story?

I will award the best answer to the funniest one without cussing.

Back in the good old 60's and 70's, when people knew how to enjoy themselves, and when nightime road-rallies were sort of semi-legal in the UK; speeds were extremely high. My friends and I went to watch a local event at a notorious spot, where the narrow country Yorkshire Dales road was a series of severe switchback humps.

The first rally-car through was quite impressive; his last leap into the air about 5 ft high, and the flying-distance about 100 yards.

The second-car through was quite tame, and everyone groaned with disappointment.

The third-car, an old Datsun 240Z was might impressive on take-off, but a bit dodgy when it came to landing; the brutish machine all over the road......we stepped back from the tarmac a little.

When the fourth car arrived at astonishing speed, we backed away a little further......then still further....some even climbing over the wall.

This guy was a nutter.......90mph and some more!

He took off like a moon-rocket, shot up in the air about 10ft, flew for a good 200 yards, smashed the suspension when he landed and then slithered in a shower of sparks straight into a small lake.

It was then that we noticed that the wrecked car was white, with funny reflective markings on it and a blue light on the roof!

Laugh? We almost p******d ourselves!
