How much space does Yamaha DTXpress IV electronic Drum Kit use up?

I live in NY in a relatively small apartment. I'm considering buying an Electronic Drum kit since I rarely am able to play, but I'm concerned I won't have the space to set it up. Does anyone have a Yamaha DTXpress IV or a similar kit they could measure and tell me how much floor space is needed? The only dimensions I can find online are for the shipping boxes.

I'm working in a drumshop and I've just measured the one I have on the floor. The foot print (place taken on the floor) is 3' x 3', and the whole thing takes up about 4' x 4'. That's only a reference point as you won't necessarily set it up as it is set up on our floor and it also depends on how far away from the drums your positioning your stool. But it can be used as a good point of reference.

The cool thing about these machine is that you can fold them in when you're not using them. That way they don't take much more than a feet and a half by 3'.
