Can anyone offfer some tips for decorating with different shades of wood.?
I'm opening my salon...and chose to have a mahogany wood floor put in. A lot of my furniture has mahogany in it as well. Is it okay to have all the same color of wood? I have a small space and have chosen a lot of dark colors. I want it to feel very cozy and warm. Are there any tips for making all this work together? I even did mahogany woven wood shade blinds. I haven't seen the finished picture yet, because the building is still under construction.
I think that is just fine. It should look luxurious. You might want to paint the walls or the ceiling some shade of off white so that the room is not too dark.
