No. In my experience, the dishes have always been good and will always be expensive. You can always wait until a sale to come if you are to save some money, but for a significant reduction prices on everything that would take some time.

I played on Sabian, Zildjian, and Paiste, even had a Pearl cymbal or 2 that sounded alright. All are good depending on the individual cymbal and what kind of sound you're looking for. Be advised, all cymbals will break eventually, and more often if you like to rock. I always did.
