Sun Moo Kwan
A little-known Buddhist martial arts based, Sun Moo Kwan includes meditation and physical training in order to promote students to enlightenment. Probably Original Zen (known as "sun" in Korean), which began after 1945 and in 1960, has taught O Bom Temple in Korea.
Exceptionally, students participate in a significant exercise called "tol Palkia, which consists of jumping from rock to rock on a mountaintop, hoping to make the plight of non-mind.
Yongmudo
Bring developed by professional sport scientists and former gold medalists in Yong-In University of Korea, Yongmudo is a hybrid martial art again measures to improve physical endurance and mental functions that require both. It has become a compulsory element in the physical education students, with three levels Difficulty or range of beginner, intermediate and advanced. Yongmudo combines the techniques of kicking, tae kwon do, the movement and pull hapkido techniques and throwing techniques of judo. This technique also includes elements of Ssireum and fencing.
Gwon Gyokdo
Also known as "GEK kun do," Gwon gyokdo is a hybrid art that incorporates traditional techniques of Korean martial arts and Muay Thai. Founded by No Mo Jung, who has studied Muay Thai, Gwon shots gyokdo combines kicks from tae kwon do and Muay Thai boxing techniques. Exceptionally, open hand techniques withdrawn due to risk of injury to the fingers.
Yet in its infancy in Korea, gyokdo Gwon is a competitive sport, including the fight against the ring and 27 technical defense, some of which defend against a pole, a bar iron and a knife. The training includes boxing style techniques, such as the knee and thrust of the elbows, is practiced with protective equipment. Unlike other martial arts, which focuses solely on the "wai gong", or the ability of external energy. Modern style
Two brothers, Joo Bang Lee and Joo Sang Lee, developed the program after studying with a monk named Suahm Dosa in Temple of Wang Sa Ham Suk-Nam, North Korea. They escaped in South Korea when the Communists took power and then during the 1960s and 70s, appeared in several documentaries that were broadcast worldwide. Viewers watched in amazement who demonstrated amazing feats of strength and concentration, as Smashing bricks on the forehead and the weight of trucks traveling in your abdomen.
The system teaches brothers used 108 different weapons, with three distance categories: hitting with hand, foot, head, or a weapon; end of the quarter of a lever, grip, and projection techniques, and the struggle for land.

May be accompanied with dances and songs, with a rate of three to three by the opposition in the ninety-four the other martial arts program reminiscent Mongolian ancestry. The passage of the basic model is unique and very difficult to learn, with unusual angles of attack are very effective for killing opponents.
Some experts see as a sport because Taekyon parties occurred as a form of entertainment in the 19th and 20th centuries.
Triangular Footwork
Control techniques are "sonkisul (blocking action), head-butting, grappling, trapping and moving and kicking, pushing, sweeping, seals, and" palgisul (TRIPS). These measures are combined with "pumbalki," the triangular footwork that is supposed to reproduce the timing of a galloping horse. A striking fact is that on Taekyon players have learned to be happy and relaxed during combat and not focus too much on aggression and negative attitudes such as hatred or anger. The approach reduces muscle tension, leading to faster responses and reflexes. It also reduces the fear that further improves performance.
Renewed popularity
Popularity of Taekyon has fluctuated over the centuries, at a given time, even banned, but has recently been a renewed interest in art. However, in the past it was practiced mainly by farmers, peasants and bandits where the training is random and there were many teachers. With the success in the battle, because the main objective, the professionals today focus on learning and using a handful of effective techniques with a high degree of competence.
Hapkido
Hapkido is a systematic way of combat that uses throws, restraints, locks, chokes, foot blows and strikes. The system is smooth and briefly described in the poem of Hapkido: "As the river that surrounds and penetrates its obstacles, and finally trickling water penetrates into the stone on the hapkido strength flow in and through its opponents." The principles of concentration, balance, and exploit underlying hapkido. Timing and movement on the physical plane can also be adopted in the intellectual, emotional and spiritual.
Influences on hapkido
Over 2,000 years of tradition have affected Hapkido, including techniques of the ancient tribe (or "sado moosul) archery and sword and knife fighting, which could have been done on horseback. The doctrine of Confucius has shaped his philosophy, while Buddhism teaches warriors to assume their responsibilities and act with kindness. The martial arts as judo, jujitsu, karate and hapkido techniques helped. Added to this, kicking and striking techniques Korean arts such as Subak and Taekyon, fermented collection Hapkido techniques in a way of life rather just a method of combat.
Modern Hapkido
After Yong Shul Choi founded the modern art of Hapkido in the 1950s, only small groups took place. Later, thanks to Jihan Jae, instructor head of the presidential guard Hapkido, Hapkido became very popular in Korea and abroad.
Hapkido is the emphasis on self-defense as opposed to sport. Students learn to use weapons and the means to defend against an untrained opponent is likely to mount an unusual kind of attacks suffocation rather than a better coordination, a linear. They learn to hit the pressure points of acupuncture imbalance opponents before running or a lock, or disable them.
To become a master of Hapkido, professionals must understand, apply and live by three principles: the water moves around an object, however, never lost power, the circle is endless, continuous motion and internal harmony should apply also done externally to each situation.
