Ride Brilliant
State fair doing tickets per ride this year?
Thats the rumor this year. 4-6 tickets per ride. $20 for a 40 ticket book. Add $13/person for admission. So a family of 5 can expect to spend around $200 for a day at the state fair. Brilliant.
What State? New York?
If so, that is no surprise! They have been doing the ticket
books for as long as I can remember. Last 20 years...at least.
The rides are very overpriced. Add to this: parking, hotel
(if you are some distance away), food and whatever nonsense
you get roped into and it becomes very pricey. Some of the
county fairs are very high too! Erie county usually has a walk
in fee of $6-9 (This fee was waived for children 12 and under
this year...due to the economy).and a wristband ticket for another $21.00 for unlimited rides. This is a little better.
A lot of people I know do not go to the fair anymore. They feel
it is too expensive and would rather spend the money on a
good theme park.
