what drumsticks do i use?
I have a question about some Vic Firth drumsticks that I recently got. Ok, so I just have normal 2B's and some ROCK sticks. both of them are just the normal american hickory classics. Only, the 2B's are shorter than the ROCK sticks. This doesn't make sense because 2B's are for marching and Drum Set sticks are usually shorter than marching sticks. I also have some corps masters, and they are PERFECT. Is this normal for 2B's to be smaller than drum set sticks?
When you say "drum set sticks", I think you must mean 5's or 7's; typical for most people. The 2 size ought to be longer than either a 5 or a 7. I understand that from various manufacturers there is less than total standardisation. Too bad. I agree it does not make sense.
You should probably take your sticks with you to your nearest music shop and see what they have; comparing them to your 2B's. Hard to believe you just happened to get some weird size mistake. I would rather expect VF to be pretty standard.
