I need a program for my drum Trigger Pad that isn't Fruity Loops, that I can use the presets with.?

Want to be able to use the presets (drum noises that came as bank presets on the control unit) in a program and record in real time.

I'm not very familiar with MIDI, but I'm guessing that you're getting the MIDI sounds from the sequencer on the computer rather than your external unit's sounds.

Unfortunately, the only way I know of doing this is taking the line out from the unit and running it into the sound card as audio and recording that.

As for software I'd suggest Ardour or Audacity.
I don't know if Hydrogen would be useful for this, but you could sample you're presets using the above method and use them as the drumkit in Hydrogen. This is what I've done for my acoustic drumset. It's much quieter for getting a drum track at like 2am when the kids are sleeping.
