Drums for someone who plays really really loud.?
I mean, i could make dave grohls ears bleed with the way i play. but i just cant help it, i get wayyyy to into it. rite now i gotta real low end kit with sum nice heads and cymbals. http://hbdrums.com/product/HB5652L-BLK/HB_Predator_5_Elite_Drum_Set_Lacquer_Gloss_Ebony_Drums.html
I also have sum really really high end remo drum heads including EC2 clean tom heads and aquirian super kick 1's and sum AAA CYMBALS. What should be my next step?
I really need sum better hardware (including the big loop thing on the Kick Drum you put over the head, mines made of wood.), a new snare (mines shit).
Where should i go from here?
Keep the wooden ring on your bass drum. Changing it to metal will only mess with the sound. A wooden one is better in my opinion.
If you really want to upgrade get an electronic kit. They are awesome. You can plug in the headphones or a huge amp and jam away.
Maybe it's time to upgrade the drums themselves. Like one poster said DW makes great sturdy kits as well as Tama, Mapex and the like. A better kit will get better sound.
With a cheap kit you have a plastic wrap for the color that totally messes with the sound. Go for a kit that has the color painted or stained right onto the shells.
Get new Cymbal Stand, drum stands, maybe a set of mics and put your music thru an amp to increase the volume.
Your choice, your money. There's a ton of stuff we'd do if we had the money and space.
Oh get another cheap kit and you'll have a cheap double bass set-up. Or get a double Bass Pedal. DW makes some good expensive ones
