Is this Drum Kit worth the money?
My friend has a Pearl Export ELX Series Drum Set, with a sunburst fade, it has 4 rack toms, a Floor Tom, a Kick Drum, and a snare. It also comes with cymbals like a china, a splash, a crash, hi-hats, and a ride. He is also throwing in gig bags for all the drums and cymbals. The kit is 5 years old and he wants $1600 for it and it's in excellent shape.
So is it worth the money or can I find something better?
I am looking to buy a new kit with a variety of toms and possibly double bass. It has to be a quality kit and it doesn't matter if it's used as long as it's in good shape. I'm looking to spend anywhere from $1000- $2500.
PS - I am constantly watching Kijiji and Craigslist.
Yeah the drum set is worth the money to some but it really depends on the type of drums your looking for.
I personally like Sonar drums because the size and sound they can produce fits my music.
You can make any drum sound like you want it too by using different heads, cymbals, and other various hardware.
But because hes already selling this with everything I would make sure its the sound you like.
If not I would look around on ebay for blank drum kits and buy all your parts seperatly.
