New cymbal?
Has anybody out there used, or know someone who has used, the new Sabian Chopper effects cymbal? I ordered one today from Guitar Center (an 8 inch, should be here in about a week) but I have not really heard what it sounds like yet, just some video on Youtube, which didn't have very good audio. I have read that it is a good alternative for an X-hat, so I thought I would take a chance and buy one. Any opinions on the way it sounds would be appreciated. Thanks.
Yeah Ive demoed (new word) it at interstate music. Its pretty awesome, its not resonant (i.e. sound only lasts a little after hit), and it has kind of a "ch" chopping sound (hence the name). But nice buy. I wanted to buy it but I had to get new hi-hats cause my old ones were crap lol. Have fun!!!
