Sims 2 Custom Content Causing my Game to Crash?
This is probably a stupid question because I probably know I need to delete all my downloads to fix it, but I'm hoping for a less drastic solution.
I just installed The Sims 2 Seasons expansion pack, and I downloaded some free custom content along with it. But when I go to the play the game, I get to the misc. sculptures and a few scrolls in, the game freezes up, crashes, and terminates.
The game is still intact but I can't open that page of the misc. sculptures without a crash. I figure it's something I downloaded causing the problem, so I went into the downloads folder and deleted all the newest content...but it's still causing a problem.
What do I do?
DONT REINSTALL ANYTHIGN! its not the game its the downloads.
ok as i say to everyone having this problem you need to go to your downloads folder. thats were your downloads are. they apear as white blank files. simply its a process of finding out which file it is thats causing the crash. its hapend to me and it happend to be a garden rock. so you cut half and put them in a safe place which you can find easyly say on your desktop. test the remaining files your have left in your downloads folder. if your game crashes then you know its in that group and not in the others you put in your desktop. so spilt the downloads files in half like you did the first time and test them liek you just did and its bascicaly a process of illimination to find out which file it is. it can take forever i know if you have a lot of files. also arange the files by date, that may give you a clue to which fbunch of files to look at first if the game crashes recently.
if this doesnt help (which it probaly will) let me know. ive had every problem under the sun with sims
