What is a good complete starting Drum Set?
I already have a somewhat decent electric drumset, but I'm looking to upgrade to a real acoustic set. I have a price range of $700. I'm looking to buy one of those all-in-one 5 piece sets that have the cymbals and hardware included. I'm not interested in buying a kit then buying all these extra things like expensive cymbals and what-not. I'm just looking for a complete set. Specifically, my main choices include the Pearl Forum 725, the Tama Imperialstar, and the Pearl Soundcheck with Zildjian cymbals. My main concerns are about which has the best heads, cymbals, and hardware. What is the best choice to go for, or if there is a better choice, what would it be?
Well forget which has the best heads because the heads are just stock on all of those sets mentioned. So based on hardware and cymbals with good- better- best:
Pearl Forum- Good hardware- unspecified cymbals $699
Pearl Sound Check- Good hardware- Good starter cymbals $599
Tama imperialstar- Good hardware- Good starter cymbals( extra Cymbal Holder!) $699
I'd definitely go between the Pearl forum and the Tama. My choice would probably be Tama because you get an extra cymbal holder. But whichever you choose between the 2 you won't be disappointed.
