Why are Ancient Chinese dramas not very diverse?

I've seen eight Ancient Chinese dramas.

Well, that's a good question, which I, as a Chinese, has never thought of.

China has a very, very long history. But please note that the ancient Chinese dramas are just DRAMA, not history. These just combine virtual stories into real histories.

Not all dramas tell stories about Qing Dynasty. There are also many dramas that tell other dynasties than Qing, such as
Da Qin Di Guo ( a political reform occurred in Zhan Guo Phase(about 400 B.C)
Han Wu Da Di ( tells stories about a great emporor of Han Dynasty, who is comparable to
Kan Xin and Qian Long)
Zhu Yuanzhang ( tells a story about the founder of Ming Dynasty)

There are about 12 emporor in Qing Dynasty and there are some dramas about other emporor
than the two emporors you mentioned. But indeed most of dramas tell stories about Kang Xi and
Qian Long. This is because the 2 emporors are very great governors and China was very, very
prosperous when the 2 emporors were governing China and hence they are very popular.
So The dramas about them are very popular as well.
