Tambourine Double
The White Album
It's one of those documents that life is ever clean. It is so varied, so long and informative, you will never be over it. And the songs just keep growing. The funny thing about this album is that somehow does not sound like the Beatles. It is a little darker, intellectual and more mystical than anything I've done. Beyond style minimalism, the essentially blank cover of the Beatles, better known as the White Album, served a symbolic purpose. The group found no honest way to represent it visually as a cohesive unit. Each of the three authors have been pursuing their own vision, with other members, reluctantly, that acts backup musicians. Once all much greater than the sum of its parts, the Beatles are now a formidable alliance tense individual talent.
Another of my favorites found on the album White is the probe of the Old West "Rocky Raccoon", written by John and Paul, while in India, of all places, with the help of 60 rock star Donovan. Lennon is my main man of the Beatles, but this album is one of the best contributions of Paul to one of the Beatles records. I mean, take work masterpiece song "I Will", the only thing wrong with this sweet number is too short. "Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da" and "Birthday" were co-written by Lennon and McCartney, but Paul started to write each of these songs before John joined help them finish.
Like the United Kingdom together except: A Hard Day's Night was published in its original format French, who four boys in the wind. The records were pressed in France with their original tags (Odeon and Apple). Rarities was released on EMI. The box was four inches thick, more than any other issue, and the titles of the albums have been printed in the later. The Beatles (White Album) was listed as "Back in the USSR
Paul McCartney - acoustic and electric guitars, flute, flugelhorn, piano, organ Hammond, bass, drums, bongos, timbales, percussion George Harrison - vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, violin, organ, bass, tambourine, firebell Starr - vocals, piano, drums, bongos, maracas, castanets, tambourine John Lennon - vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, harmonica, saxophone, piano, organ, harmonium, 6-string bass, maracas, tambourine, tape loops
Finally, it is certainly a must-have album of the Fab Four. Experience really wonderful in a Double CD collection of the most authentic masterpiece of British pop legends

I'm looking for a percussion set for an intermediate user. However i'm confused to chose which brand that is good, trusted and suitable. There are so many brands (like LP, Meinl, Mano etc) but i don't know about their quality. From all these brands, which brands stand out the most in terms of quality and performance ? and why ?
when i look for brand name insturments i try to pick companies that specialize in just that instruments. so in your case i would not go with meinl (unless its a cajun) because they make cymbals which im pretty sure is there main export. the only brand that sticks out to me i guess would be LP because i have a cowbell made by them which is a pretty lame reason but you know so ultimately it is your choice you should choose what you like and what you think sounds good. good luck...i know its hard!

Mano Negra includes: Oscar Tramor (chant vocals, guitar, accordion, clavier); Tonio Garbancito (chant vocals, guitar, drums); Roger Cageot (chant vocals, guitar); Del Borno (chant vocals, trumpet); Santiago "El Aguilla" Casariego (chant vocals, drums).Personnel: Oscar Tramor (vocals, guitar, accordion); Roger Cageot (vocals, guitar, kazoo); Helmut Krumar (vocals, guitar, triangle); Garbancito (vocals, guitar, percussion).Audio Mixer: Mano Negra.Recording information: Conny`s Studio (1990-1991).King of Bongo showcases Mano Negra as a straightforward rock band, downplaying its trademark eclecticism and turning up the guitars. The manic rhythmic drive is throttled back, and the broad range of styles the group explored on Puta`s Fever only pop up sporadically to spice the rock context. The almost all-English lyrics embrace the outlaw rocker stance, and the material is largely geared toward emphasizing Mano Negra`s connection with the punk side of the rock spectrum. The ranting rave-up "Letter to the Censors" isn`t that far from Mot¿rhead, and the acoustic guitar and organ on "Out of Time Man" has a feel close to Iggy Pop`s "The Passenger." "Don`t Want You No More" even lopes along at a country & western-flavored clip. Mano Negra can rock hard and convincingly -- notably on the steady, rolling title track or when blending dub reggae and rap elements into "Bring the Fire" -- and the music still offers much more variety than the rock norm here. While King of Bongo isn`t a bad album (and its English-language rock orientation might be easier for many people to connect with), it is the least distinctive of Mano Negra`s career. ~ Don Snowden Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. Oscar, Zofia, Naro "Chihuahua" (vocals); Alain "L`Enclume De Choisy" (acoustic bass).Recorded at Mix It Studio, Paris, France.Personnel: Helmut Krumar (vocals, guitar, keyboards, programming); Oscar Tramor (vocals, guitar, keyboards); Roger Cageot, Jo (vocals, guitar); Tonio del Borno (vocals, trumpet); Santiago el Aguila Casariego (vocals, drums); Garbancito (vocals, percussion); Kropol (trombone); Alain ? (double bass).Recording information: Mix It Studio, Paris, France.Arrangers: Thomas Darnal; Manu Chao. The highly influential Puta`s Fever opened the door for a flood of young rock bands outside the English-speaking music world to fashion new hybrids that reflected their own musical cultures blended with popular worldwide sounds like rock and reggae. Manu Chao and company started from patchanka, a fast-paced French music hall style that sounds like speeded-up ragtime or hot jazz, and started singing songs in Spanish, French, and Arabic. The motor driving all the disparate elements on Puta`s Fever is Santiago el Aguila Casariego`s fierce drumming. And what an array of styles -- calliope-like keyboards, a Latin groove on "Patchanka," Tex-Mex on Joe "King" Carrasco`s "Patchuko Hop," and dub reggae on "Peligro" -- pass through Mano Negra`s manic mix. "Mano Negra" sounds like soundtrack music for a spaghetti western surf movie (really), while "Rebel Spell" marries a gospel chorus and hard rock guitar to a rapped street tale of shooting Brother Rasta dead. Puta`s Fever is a triumph of eclecticism as a style where each song shifts into a different musical gear, and one key jumping-off point for the rock en espa¿ol (or Latin alternative) school. Which doesn`t mean that Mano Negra abandoned their original inspiration -- English lyrics dominate and there`s a strong identification with a classic rock & roll outlaw stance in "Rock `N` Roll Band" and the `50s-rooted "Devil`s Call." ~ Don Snowden Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. Personnel includes: Chano Dominguez (piano); Javier Colina (bass); Guillermo McGuill (drums).Recorded at Infinity Studios, Madrid, Spain in September 1996. Includes liner notes by Adolfo Montejo.Personnel: Chano Dom!nguez (piano); Chonchi Heredia (vocals); Nono Garcia, Tito Alcedo, Tomatito (guitar); Tino Di Geraldo (drums, tabla, tambourine, percussion); Joaqu!n Grilo (dancer).Audio Mixer: Gugu Martinez.Recording information: Estudios Infinity, Madrid, Spain (09/1996).Chano Dominguez, based in Cadiz, Spain, is a powerful pianist and gifted composer who brings jazz and flamenco together in this exciting, innovative CD. Dominguez weaves jazz lines and harmony with the varied rhythms of flamenco, from its lighter styles of tango and buleria to the darker, bluesy seguirilla and solea, and beautifully integrates the fiery percussion of clapping and dancing with bebop (it`s a bit hard to imagine, but an absolute delight to hear). He does amazing things with two jazz classics: Bill Evans` "Turn out the Stars" becomes a stunning flamenco waltz with a great bass solo by Javier Colina, and Thelonious Monk`s "Bemsha Swing" is a startling tour de force where the piano is accompanied only by dancing and clapping; Monk would`ve loved it. The other ten tracks are Dominguez compositions, different in mood and structure, but all polyrhythmic and melodic. Standouts are hard to isolate, but include "Cilantro y Comino," a masterful, adventurous journey; "Alma de Mujer" (aka "Soul of Woman"), a thoughtful meditation which ranges from tenderness to passion; the dynamic, gypsy-inflected "Retaila"; the sexy "Pinar Hondo"; and "Bubango," which showcases the fine work of guitarist Tito Alcedo. Dominguez`s music is like a fresh wind blowing over a familiar landscape; full of soul and heart, this CD is a must-have for Latin jazz fans. ~ Judith Schlesinger Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. Personnel: Yechiel Hasson (guitar); Avshalom Caspi (piano); Alvaro Garrido (percussion).Arrangers: Yechiel Hasson; Alvaro Garrido; Yasmin Levy.Yasmin Levy has proved herself to be the leading exponent of Ladino song (Ladino is the language of the Sephardic Jews whose roots are in Spain). However, her previous albums have never quite captured her potential. This time, though, she`s hit the spot, finding both the intensity of performance and delicacy of arrangement that`s been her hallmark. The style is a mix of influences that blend perfectly -- listen carefully and you can hear traces of flamenco nestled alongside Middle Eastern music, with influences from around the Mediterranean liberally scattered across the sound. Her voice is in glorious form, with a depth of purity that illustrates just how she`s matured and fully grown into her ability. Her own band, now well bedded-in, is superb and sympathetic, but there are some surprising additions (Paraguayan harp, anyone?). Natacha Atlas weighs in for a duet on the title cut, which becomes a gentle contest between the two singers, both of whom work out of their skins on the track. This is a disc of real beauty, with plenty of heartbreak, and it demands intense listening. But the rewards are more than worth the time. ~ Chris Nickson Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. Defensemen for the Red Wings include Chris Chelios, Jonathan Ericsson, Niklas Kronwall, Brett Lebda, nicklas Lidstrom, Andreas Lilja, Derek Meech, Brian Rafalski and Brad Stuart. Goalies are Ty Conklin and Chris Osgood. This season’s Red Wings prospects are Justin Abdelkader, Joakim Andersson, Dick Axelsson, Randy Cameron, Cory Emmerton, Eric Himelfarb, Evan McGrath, Jan Mursak, Nick Oslund, Ryan Oulahen, Mattias Ritola, John Ryno and Jack Torquato. Red Wings defensemen players include Jakub Kindl, Logan Pyett, Bryan Rufenach, Alexander Seluyanov and Brendan Smith. Goalies are Jimmy Howard and Daniel Larsson. Head coach Mike Babcock, assistant coach Paul MacLean, assistant coach Brad McCrimmon, goaltending coach Jim Bedard, video coach Keith McKittrick, athletic trainer Piet Van Zant, equipment manager Paul Boyer, assistant equipment manager John Remejes, assistant equipment manager Adam Sheehan, assistant athletic trainer Russ Baumann, team masseur Sergei Tchekmarev and massage therapist Lynn Newman. The Red Wings are working their way to the top again, second in line in the NHL Western Conference standing behind San Jose. With 68 points, it’s a hop and a skip from the 73 points the leaders have. Although the Red Wings took a loss in their last game before break, which was against the Coyotes, they’re still in good shape to take home the Stanley Cup as they have done in the past. For January, the Wings will face off against the Stars and the Capitals for a home and an away game respectively. In February, the Wings will host games against the Blues, Coyotes, Oilers, Wild, Avalanche, Predators, Ducks, Sharks and Kings. The away games will take the Red Wings on the road where they will take the ice against the Penguins, Predators, Blue Jackets, Wild and Predators. In March, the Red Wings will also be on the road to play away games against the Blues, Avalanche, Blues, Blue Jackets, Thrashers, Flames and Oilers. They can welcome challenges on their own ice as they host games against the Blue Jackets, Coyotes, Flames, Flyers, Islanders and Predators. Unlike many other teams in the NHL, in April the Red Wings will face off against the Blues, Wild, Predators and Blackhawks on their own ice. They’ll challenge the Sabres and the Blackhawks as the visiting team in April, with games away from home, including the last game of the season for the Wings, which is against the Blackhawks on Sunday, April 12. Hockeytown, as Detroit is affectionately referred to, is cold and snowy but general managers Jim Nill and Ken Holland won’t be shivering as they head off to the 2009 NHL draft, which is being held in Arizona. For 4 to 5 hours a day Nill and Holland will be meeting with all of the draft-eligible players from every country who are in attendance for 3 to 4 days. About the Author

Preface Pick up any textbook or article on vision from the current literature and chances are you will see the statement: "Human color vision is based on the existence of three types of cones, a red, a green, and a blue sensitive type", or very similar such wording. There is no discussion, no question, just this simple statement of "fact". With such an oft repeated and widely entrenched description of human color vision, there is surely no question that it is right. Or is there? This volume represents many years of effort on the part of the author as well as of a number of collaborators to try to better understand how human color vision works. Some of our work has been published in standard journals, but the key conclusions we have reached about color vision has run up against a very entrenched resistance and has not appeared in a unified form elsewhere.
