Is the Sound Percussion Pro 8-Piece Double Bass Drum Set (Black Hoops and Lugs) a good set?

It looks too good for it's price
It's not too good for the price.
It's made out of basswood, which is not going to sound that well. It's a shell pack, meaning you have to buy all the stands and the pedals. And you have to buy the cymbals.
So if you are interested in drums that will sound good, get a smaller set made out of a better wood (like mahogany, maybe birch). I play a 4 piece. More is not always better. Think about moving the kit too, eventually you may go to someone's house or play live. And remember that drum heads are about $12-14 each, and $40 for a bass Drum Head...you have a lot of drum heads.
